Every New Year’s Resolution is a series about changing your life through goal-setting. For 2017 I set 10 resolutions and I’m going to try to achieve them all. Read the original post explaining everything if you’re just getting started. In each post I review my daily progress. This is week two
Wow! It’s hard to believe it has been this quick! We’re already closing in on an entire month!

Get Fit: 30 minutes–12 on a stationary bike and 18 on an elliptical. I initially felt the elliptical was too easy, but after really ratcheting up the resistance it felt just as hard, if not harder, than the bike.
Save Money: Currently at $86.11.
Get Organized: I spent 40 minutes vacuuming, getting rid of stuff off my desk, throwing away stuff I didn’t need, etc. It was a minor win but I can feel the progress.
Learn Chinese: I did Chinese flashcards right before bed. Chinese is totally slipping. I’m not skipping it, but I can feel the resistance build. Got to stay strong!
Practice Guitar: Played just after lunch.
Quit Sugar: It was a good day, only 17 grams from a Soylent and a Kombucha.
Read 26 Books: Read The Three Body Problem.
Minimize Social Media: I checked Facebook a couple times to reply to messages. No feed-scrolling.
Write Every Day: I did the post you’re reading and a LOT of other work for a freelance project.
Make a Difference: Ugh. I feel like a phony with this one.

Get Fit: Had an early work meeting and missed the gym. As a result, after taking a Lyft to the mall, I walked the three miles home. This way I got some exercise in while saving money.
Save Money: Currently at $89.64.
Get Organized: I really did very little on this today, but the cleaning from yesterday has really made it much easier to work on projects without feeling cluttered.
Learn Chinese: I did Chinese flashcards right before bed, again.
Practice Guitar: Played in the evening for a little while. I need to move towards learning a new song each month, or week, to keep up the enthusiasm and progress.
Quit Sugar: It was a good day, again only 17 grams from a Soylent and a Kombucha.
Read 26 Books: Read The Three Body Problem.

Practice Guitar: Played in the evening for a little while. I need to move towards learning a new song each month, or week, to keep up the enthusiasm and progress.
